Due to ever increasing demands within the market place to improve U-values to meet the stringent requirements of code for sustainable homes, Benlowe have recently introduced 2 new triple glazed timber windows to satisfy a variety of requirements.

Based upon the flush sash Glenfield range, both our “Tri-therm” and “Enviro-therm” products are available fully factory finished, this benefiting from extensive warranties. Upon request, both products can be manufactured to meet the onerous security testing of BS 7950 with full Secured by Design certification, along with full FSC® chain of custody accreditation.

The energy rating of both products is A.

Benefits from a 4/12/4/12/4 (36mm) argon fill triple glazed unit providing a whole window U-value of 1.1 w/m2k, or a centre pane value of 0.7w/m2k. The “Tri-therm” is available in fully reversible options allowing greater flexibility to opening sizes, or alternatively, on side hung reflex hinges. Restrictors may be included in either situation.

All windows, unless otherwise specified, are externally glazed and fitted with an aluminium powder coated bottom bead. A further option for an internally glazed is available upon request, which would include a timber flush bead.

As standard, the “Enviro-therm” window is fitted with a 4/16/4/16/4 (44mm) triple glazed unit which includes a warm edge spacer bar and argon between both cavities. This provides an exceptionally low whole window U-value of 0.89 w/m2k, or a centre pane value of 0.52w/m2k.

As standard, all Enviro-therm windows are supplied factory finished, glazed with a powder coated aluminium bottom bead. Alternatively an internally glazed option is available with a timber flush bead.

Currently this product is only available as a fully reversible option, however, a side hung easy clean version will be available shortly.

Constructed using only FSC® selected Scandinavian
Redwood, with full chain of custody.

All timber components are double vacuum impregnated with a preservative, to protect against insect attack and fungal decay.

Fully performance tested to BS 6375 Part 1.

Sashes may either be top hung on fully reversiable gear or side hung on reflex hinges to enable safe cleaning from within the building.

The window is fully weathersealed.

The window can be triple glazed to provide the ultimate in energy performance.

Aluminium bottom beads are fitted as standard encompassing the benefit of a fully drained and ventilated glazing system. Timber bottom beads are also available.

Cills may be specified as flush or having either 62mm, 89mm, or 114mm projections.

Push button handles are fitted to all windows and are available in the following colours: Brass, Chrome, Silver, White, Gold, Black and Brown. Espagnolette or multi-point locking shoot bolts may be specified.

Controllable ventilators can be fitted to the head. One vent is fitted to windows over 484mm wide and two vents to windows over 911mm wide.
