Description
A stormproof casement timber window.

Material
Constructed using only FSC selected Scandinavian
Redwood, with full chain of custody.

Preservation
All timber components are double vacuum impregnated
with a preservative, to protect against insect attack and fungal decay.

Performance
BSI Kitemarked to BS 644.

Mechanism
Sashes are hung on butt hinges as standard, alternatively reflex hinges may be specified to enable cleaning from within the building.

Weatherseal
The window is fully weathersealed satisfying the requirements of BS6375 Part1 “Air, Wind and Water Permeation”.

Glazing
The window can be factory glazed with 28mm dual seal Kitemarked double glazed units.
 Beads
All windows include a projecting bottom bead encompassing the benefits of a fully drained and ventilated glazing system. Aluminium bottom beads may be specified.

Cills
Cills may be specified as flush or having either 25mm, 62mm, 89mm, or 114mm projections.

Fittings
Push button handles are fitted to all windows and are available in the following colours: Brass, Chrome, Silver, White, Gold, Black and Brown. Espagnolette or multi-point locking shoot bolts may be specified,

Ventilation
Controllable ventilators can be fitted to the head. One vent is fitted to windows over 484mm wide and two vents to windows over 911mm wide.

Factory Finishing
This is a highly recommended option. To ensure the smooth operation and optimum performance of the window, paints are spray applied, achieving a quality of finish unobtainable with traditional methods.

BS7950 Enhanced Security Windows
Benlowe offer the 'VANGUARD' range of timber windows, fully tested by UKAS approved laboratories to meet the exacting standard of BS7950.

With increased strength through selected materials and controlled production techniques, the security window has been developed to include a special ironmongery and glazing requirements necessary to achieve severe security test conditions.
  • Sash profiles accept shoot bolts with 4 mushroom head security locking cams.
  • Interlocking anti-jemmy security hinge protectors.
  • Locking handles with push button release.
  • Glazing rebates to accept 28mm double glazing units factory fitted with security tapes.

Cavity Closer
The Benlowe  cavity closer and window fixing system:
  • Suitable for 50, 75 or 100mm cavities. (Also bespoke cavity sizes available)
  • Brickwork building former.
  • Comes complete with brickwork ties.
Our system allows building to progress by using the closer as a brickwork template for later fixing of the high quality factory finished timber windows snapped into position.
The versatility of the Benlowe cavity closer ensures suitability with check-reveals, stone cills, tile-hanging, timber cladding and is compatible with any size of cavity.

Guarantee
5 Year Guarantee against the need to totally repaint factory finished stained joinery as defined in BS EN927-1.
10 Year Guarantee against the need to totally repaint opaque factory finished joinery as defined in BS EN927-1.
10 Year Guarantee on all factory fitted double glazed units.
30 Year Guarantee on timber components against insect attack and fungal decay.
