Test certificates are available both of which have satisfied stringent requirements for mechanical and physical entry.
All Secured by Design windows have special ironmongery and are factory glazed as standard.

Window Requirements
- All ground floor windows must comply with BS 7950 "Enhanced Security"
- First floor windows do not need to be BS 7950 compliant unless easily accessible from the ground floor.
- Laminated glass is not a general requirement (although occasionally it may be site specific)
- Laminated glass is required to the outer pane of doors and glazed sidelights in the positions where safety glass would be required to comply with Building Regulation Part N1. The inner leaf would be toughened glass.
- Emergency egress windows to the first floor, although not to BS 7950 standards, will require laminated glass due to them having non-locking fasteners
Compliant Products
The compliant range of New Era and Glenfield windows have been successfully tested to BS 7950.
